A great photographic adventure

Workshops in Greece are a unique event that combines photography training with the opportunity to see a piece of Greece, enjoy Greek cuisine, break away from everyday life, be among people with the same passion, have endless conversations about photography and much more. And all this in an amazing villa-castle overlooking the sea.

Package includes:

- workshop with two photographers (two days each)
- accommodation in a villa-castle (6 nights, 7 days)
- breakfasts and lunches (or dinners - depending on the program)
- outdoor photography locations with models
- pick-up/drop-off of each participant from/to the airport in Athens
- organization of a trip on a day off

Jovana Rikalo is a fine art photographer from Serbia. She is telling stories and use emotions to create a piece of art.

Jovana combine models with nature and scenes, creating ethereal images full of beauty. She uses her camera to make moments come alive – moments she’s experienced, as well as ones still waiting to happen. She is inspired by life, people and nature.

Magic can only happen when we are connected. Jovana’s goal is for others to find themselves in her works, and to show people the new worlds she creates.

I will take you to my storytelling photography world, to the place where magic begins.

It will be live photography lessons. You will see step by step the whole process of how to get inspired, build an idea and turn it into a story, which will be told with our photos, experiencing it through different angles of the creative process and learning how to carefully choose the right model, location, props and light.

I will teach you how to find your colors and style, make visually eye-catching composition. And I will show you all my tricks , which I use before my final image is published.

Julia Zarkh is a children and family art photographer.

She specializes in capturing moments in the natural surroundings and showcasing the beautiful emotions that she is able to evoke from people's hearts and reflect on their faces.

Julia says: "What could be more beautiful than the harmony between humans and nature? What could be more beautiful than genuine human relationships and true emotions?"

Her photographs are gentle and touching, with warm and delicate colors. However, what leaves the biggest impression is the lighting. It is truly amazing and often makes us question whether we are witnessing reality or dreaming.

Light, color, emotions

Welcome to my world of photography, where you will be involved in the entire picture creation process. I will show you how I prepare for a shoot, including selecting the right clothing and accessories. I will also share my insights on choosing shooting locations to produce beautiful photos. I will tell you to what I pay attention when choosing the shooting locations, in order to create the beautiful photos.

You will learn the ways to awake the real emotions of your clients/models and to catch “that very special moment”.

Together, we will explore different methods of working with the most influential element in photography: light.

Day 1

  • Photography as a creative work - techniques, inspirations

  • Camera settings, shooting modes, options

    - Seeing the color any time of the year, making the photo colorful

    - Finding and seeing “the perfect light”, working with magic backlight

  • Tips and advice for choosing locations

  • Working with families, kids, pregnant woman. How to make them feel comfortable and capture the spirited and sensual pictures in posed photography

Day 2

Full processing scheme, from selecting the series to getting the ready photos for printing and WEB

  • Photography processing

    - work with Adobe Bridge, selecting the photos

    - work with Camera RAW , preliminary processing of photos

    - work with Photoshop, artistic processing of photos

    • work with blending modes
    • skin colors (achieving a nice skin tone)
    • color of images (clear, soft, noble, dense, rich, deep colors)
    • color mixing
    • skin retouching  (big portraits, medium and long-distance shots), kid photo retouching  
    • achieving a crystal-clear sharpness pictures, working out in detail

    • toning the image

    • work with extra filters and plug-ins
    • preparation of photos for printing and publication on WEB and in social media
